Diesel Mechanic

Marine Vacuum Service is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join our team. In this full-time position, you will help maintain and repair a fleet of light-duty to heavy-duty commercial vehicles, including diesel trucks, tanker trucks, and semis.
We’re looking for someone dependable, hardworking, and skilled in diagnosing and fixing a wide range of mechanical issues to keep our operations running smoothly and safely.
Prior experience is helpful, but we're most interested in someone who’s eager to learn, adaptable, and ready to grow with us. Training is paid and provided to qualified applicants.

Handyman / Facility Maintenance Technician

Marine Vacuum Service is seeking a reliable and well-rounded Handyman / Facility Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and functionality of our operations. This full-time role is perfect for someone who enjoys a variety of hands-on tasks, is mechanically inclined, and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. The ideal candidate will take initiative in maintaining our facilities, supporting operational equipment, and contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of the property. You’ll play a key role in ensuring both the buildings and the specialized systems that support our work are in top working order.

General Laborer / Tank Cleaner
No experience required, must be over 18 years of age, NO education requirement
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Industrial Tank Cleaner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and preparing industrial tanks and confined spaces for service. You’ll work with a team using specialized equipment such as high-pressure wash pumps, vac trucks, and high-pressure hoses (often ranging from 5,000 to 40,000 PSI) to safely remove waste and clean tanks used in a variety of industrial settings, including our onsite, non-hazardous wastewater treatment facility.
This is a physically demanding job that takes place in challenging environments — ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in doing things right, and values safety above all.

Tank Cleaning & Confined Space Entry
Perform manual and mechanical cleaning of industrial tanks, pits, sumps, and vessels
Enter confined spaces using proper PPE and follow all safety protocols
Operate high-pressure washers, vacuum trucks, and other cleaning equipment
Waste Handling
Safely handle, contain, and dispose of non-hazardous materials as directed
Assist with transferring liquids and solids to and from containers or transport vehicles
Equipment Operation & Maintenance
Operate and help maintain cleaning equipment, hoses, pumps, and safety gear
Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections on all tools and gear
Safety & Compliance
Follow OSHA, company, and site-specific safety protocols at all times
Participate in daily safety briefings and contribute to a culture of safety awareness
Complete required documentation such as job hazard analyses, confined space entry permits, and daily work logs
Team Support
Assist coworkers and supervisors as needed on job sites
epresent the company in a professional manner when working at customer locations
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening

CDL Truck Driver
Tanker Endorsement a Plus
We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused CDL Truck Driver to join our industrial services team. This role is responsible for operating vacuum trucks and other company vehicles to transport non-hazardous materials, waste, and equipment to and from job sites and our in-house treatment facility.
While the primary focus of this position is driving, successful candidates will also assist with tasks that support field operations—such as setting up equipment, handling hoses, and monitoring vac truck systems during active job site work. At times, the driver may be dispatched independently to pump out a tank and haul materials back for processing, without full cleaning duties involved.
This is a hands-on, active position that involves more than just driving — ideal for someone who values teamwork, takes pride in doing things right, and can adapt to a variety of work environments.

Transportation & Hauling
Safely operate vacuum trucks and other CDL-class vehicles to transport non-hazardous liquid and solid materials from customer sites to the company’s wastewater treatment facility or designated disposal locations
Drive to local and regional job sites based on daily assignments and routing plans provided by dispatch or supervisors
Ensure materials are securely contained, properly labeled, and transported in compliance with DOT and company standards
Solo Dispatch Work
On certain assignments, respond to scheduled or on-call jobs independently to pump tanks, sumps, or containers and transport materials for processing — without requiring full cleaning of the tank
Document material volumes and types accurately and ensure secure loading for transport
Vehicle Maintenance & Inspections
Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance needs
Keep trucks clean, fueled, and in good working condition
Maintain required paperwork including trip logs, load manifests, and inspection records
Safety & Compliance
Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company-specific safety protocols
Use appropriate PPE and follow confined space, lockout/tagout, and spill prevention procedures when applicable
Participate in safety meetings, job briefings, and training sessions
Team Collaboration
Work closely with field crews, dispatch, and the yard team to ensure smooth job execution
Support other areas of the company as needed, including basic yard duties or assisting in the field when not on driving assignments
Required Qualifications
Valid CDL Class B (Class A preferred) with current medical card
Tanker endorsement (required)
Clean driving record (MVR check required)
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Experience driving and operating vac trucks or similar equipment preferred
Strong communication skills and willingness to work with others
Comfortable with physically demanding tasks, including handling hoses and equipment
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
Experience in environmental services, industrial vacuum operations, or liquid waste hauling
OSHA 10- or 30-Hour Certification
Basic mechanical or maintenance knowledge
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, push, and pull 50+ LBS regularly
Climbing ladders, bending, standing, and walking on uneven surfaces
Willingness to work in outdoor conditions year-round, including hot, cold, or wet environments
